Shopping for a small home: measure twice, choose once
Compact rooms reward careful choices. A smaller item that works well can be more useful than a larger item that dominates the room.
Keep the walking routes clear
Measure the routes you take every day, including access to windows, cupboards and doors. Open furniture and appliance doors in your measurements.
Compare the usable space
Look at storage capacity and internal layouts, not just external dimensions. A compact appliance or piece of furniture may make better use of the available space.
Avoid false multi-purpose claims
Only rely on features confirmed in the product listing. A sofa does not become a sofa bed because the photograph looks large enough to lie on.
