Moving-day essentials, in the order you need them
A new address does not need a finished room on the first night. Start with the items that make daily life possible, then add the extras when the timing is right.
Check what comes with the property
Before choosing an appliance, ask the landlord or seller what stays. A fitted oven or existing fridge can remove a large item from your list. Measure access through doors and stairs, not just the space in the room.
Sleep and cook come first
Somewhere to sleep, basic food storage and a way to prepare meals usually matter before a second screen or decorative furniture. Make your own priority list; a catalogue should fit that list, not write it for you.
Allow for the first-order wait
For a first catalogue order, the first four payments build a payment history before dispatch. Repeat orders can be dispatched without that first-order waiting period, subject to the partner shop’s terms. Do not rely on a first order arriving on moving day.
This guide is part of the same group as the named partner shops.
